I don’t know about you, but I enjoy listing foods alphabetically big time! It’s fun to think of so many foods that might start with a certain letter. What about you? Are you a food lover who can name at least ten foods that start with S?

Smoked salmon is a preparation where the salmon is cured and smoked over the grill. Due to the pricey nature of salmon, it is considered a delicacy. 

  • Soup

A good bowl of soup can turn any bad day into good. And if you ask me, it definitely makes the top three in my list of foods beginning with S! And there are just about an infinite number of soups to choose from! You can never go wrong with Chicken Noodle Soup!

  • Sweet Potato Casserole

A sweet potato casserole is a traditional thanksgiving sweet dish that is made up of a sweet potato filling, eggs, sugar, and vanilla. It is often served with whipped cream, a dressing of powdered sugar, and marshmallows. It also goes great with ice cream!

  • Sausage 

A sausage is a meat item made with ground meat, salt, and other spices. The meat used in a sausage is often pork, beef, or poultry. You can serve a sausage along with beans for breakfast, or as a main course item.

As the title suggests, Swiss cheese is a popular cheese originating from Switzerland. But these days, the word is used for any type of yellow cheese that resembles the original Emmental cheese.
